**RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL**:
Provides oversight and leadership for the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) function for the Manufacturing Operation business. Directs, supervises and supports a team of Cienega 2 Plant-level EHS professionals in the implementation of the EHS program and processes and their integration with the new projects where required. Provides technical support on EHS matters to the plant and works with EHS team to develop new processes, safety training, and related materials, and to update existing processes that address internal/external needs and reduce employee injury.
**Main Duties**:
1. Provides leadership and strategic direction in the implementation of applicable EHS programs and processes that are specific to the operations, legislative requirements, and where appropriate new projects specifications.
2. Leads the expansion development process by evaluating and reviewing proposals, request for proposals.
3. Establishes and manages compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 targets.
4. Supports and provide EHS professional review of incident investigations and corrective actions.
5. Presents EHS program and performance data to Corporate and Cienega 2 Staff based on need as established by operations and new projects. Presentations are made throughout all phases of new projects development process including proposal, start-up/transition, or on a periodic basis.
6. Evaluates and analyzes injuries and related trends at Cienega 2 plant and works directly with those plants to establish root causes and associated preventative measures.
7. Provides direction on the need and frequency for site surveys and audits, and either conducts the audits, or works with the Ducted EHS Sr. Manager to plan the level of audit support necessary.
8. Maintains current knowledge of EHS industry best practices and technological developments and equipment to remain up to date on related systems, devices and techniques designed to eliminate or minimize associated risks. Keeps current on regulatory requirements pertaining to EHS.
9. Supports all the plant's certified systems according to requirements. May be ISO-9000, ISO-14000, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, HPT and CTPAT.
10. Supervises Medical services to the employees.
11. Responsible to administrate and making savings projects related to Sustainability and Energy
12. Develop planned inspections to identify unsafe conditions in the plant and environmental audits in the same, report findings to management found, corrective action request, accept or reject corrective action, closure validate and replicate the same plan as applicable.
13. Define plant objectives trough "Policy Deployment" process and promote the improvement of the performance metrics using JCMS tools.
14. Make sure the plant becomes a benchmark site, through the implementation and constant improvement of all the processes, tasks and metrics required by the JCMS System for EHS department.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Engineering degree, preferably in safety. Master's degree in related field is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS.
- Fluent English is mandatory.
