.Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a EHS Supervisor.
**What you'll do**:**Job Summary**Assure EHS Management System (MESH) compliance, leading all the related initiatives and accomplishing the objectives of the area, including reporting, developing strategy for site ZWTL & ZWD certification, following-up of site security and developing a strong EHS culture.
**Responsibilities**:- Interact with other areas on site to develop and implement annual EHS action plan and EHS projects.- Actively participate in the Corporate EHS Audit Program as an auditor.- Develop & Follow up EHS compliance calendar and required activities to maintain EHS compliance.- Register all employee observations and employee concerns.- Lead the investigation process of employee's concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations, Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation, and follow-up.- Ensure the development of emergency brigades and emergency preparedness for the site and be an active member of the emergency brigade.- Follow up the updates of EHS metric boards.- Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility, division and/or corporate EHS management.- Evaluate effectiveness of existing EHS programs; determine the need for any additional programs; develop and implement additional programs as needed.
Ensure facility systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.- Ensure site systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.- Develop and facilitate all required EHS training.- Lead risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
Works with cross-functional team to work targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.- Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.- Works to develop MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
Acting as a Champion or Co-Champion in several categories or elements (according with the assignment matrix).- Take active part in Lean events.- Develop strategy to maintain and/or reduce budget.**Qualifications**:**1.
Education level required**Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field, preferably health, engineering, chemistry or EHS management**2.
Years and area of experience required**Minimum of seven years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Engineering in complex organizations.**Skills**:**3.
Technical knowledge**- Understanding of components of an EHS Management System, Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Machine Guarding, Environmental Aspects (Water, Air, Waste, and Chemicals).- ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001- STPS, SEMARNAT, CEDES, OSHA, LFT, Proteccion Civil, normativity knowledge**4
