Job Description SUMMARY: May serve as the facility EHS Lead or serve as an EHS Staff member. REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES: Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include all or some of the following, a combination of the following, but are not limited to : Implements and Integrates Company EHS programs and develops facility specific procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory and Company policies. Actively participates in development of EHS program components: operational procedure, work instructions, training material, standards, etc.
Requirements include integration of environmental, health and safety management systems with engineering and program documentation and schedules to maintain regulatory compliance and safe operating conditions.
Reduce liability within a facility and ensure all safety and environmental recommendations are completed and documented Use ELS methodology to drive improvements in Environmental and Safety programs. Engineer solutions to occupational exposures. Drive continuous improvement and deliver strong results from behavioral based processes.
Evaluates new environmental, health and safety technologies and processes to develop strategies and tactics for reducing workplace and operational hazards and environmental impacts.
Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing work supervised.
Sets team priorities; provides input on resource planning and policy development.
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the team and responsible for team leadership.
Also acts as a resource for the team, provide training/ coaching to the work of the team.
Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Applies advanced skills to the position or specialization. Assigned larger and more complex tasks than an EHS Specialist I.
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
Project Management Oriented, Solution Oriented, Goal Oriented, Technical Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Environmental Engineering / Science or related field preferred.
3-5 years of EHS experience with progressive work assignments. Advanced professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, REM etc.)

Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures and programs.
Experience in life safety codes: EHS rules, HAZOP, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and Industrial hygiene.
Good Project/Problem Resolution skills.
Strategic thinking with strong leadership skills and good interpersonal communications.
Strong coaching, facilitating and training skills.
