.As an experienced Electrical Engineer at Sensata, you will be part of a cross-functional project team supporting the design, development, and validation of various products that support the electrification of automotive and Heavy Vehicle Off-Road (HVOR) vehicles. This opportunity includes working with a world-wide team of customers and engineers collaborating to achieve customer success, product excellence, and safety.General ResponsibilitiesKey participant in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges.Lead and participate in requirements definition for key products/customers with an understanding of products as a system. This includes the derivation of system level requirements to key electrical performance criteria.Responsible for assigned electrical engineering tasks from the development phase through production including electrical requirements definition, schematic and printed circuit board (PCB) design, documentation, prototype builds, and testing/validation.Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures.Collaborates with senior engineers/managers to engage with customers in soliciting product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget.Experience / QualificationsA university degree required (i.E. Bachelors degree) in Electrical Engineering or another electronics-based scientific degree.Must have a minimum of 2 years (5+ years preferred) directly applicable engineering experience with a background in some/all of the following:System Level Architecture Requirements and Design.Component level schematic design with consideration for electromagnetic compatibility and other system level protections.PCB specification and layout review. (Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex Assemblies).Cable design and specification.Design for Functional Safety. (ISO 13849, ISO 25119, ISO 26262).Must be self-driven with the ability to independently complete complex electrical designs.Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.The following are not required, but preferred:Altium Designer or similar Design Suite experience including schematic design, PCB design, technical definition, and documentation exporting
