We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with our Advanced Safety & User Experience division.This role is primarily responsible for electrical hardware design of automotive Safety Electronics modules.Your Role :Work independently on design tasks to lead the electrical hardware designReview customer specifications.Design Safety Electronics Electrical Hardware ProductsMicroprocessor and DSP Digital Core, high speed memory and video signals, analog and digitalcontrol logic, linear and switching power suppliesPerform worst case analysis and simulations to ensure compliance to customer requirementsSupport product design reviewsCreate and maintain schematic and assembly drawings and release within the change managementstructureDevelop and maintain electrical DFMEAGenerate electrical information to ECAD for PCB layout and support ECAD designerSupport hardware prototype buildsCreate product verification plan and perform testingSupport EMC and validation testingUtilize structured problem solving techniques for test failure resolutionPresent product design, analysis and testing to customerMust Haves (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree, Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Engineering Technology degreeFamiliarity with Power Supply design principlesLab equipment experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes function generators and multimetersFamiliar with or experience using basic structured problem solving techniquesFamiliar with Microsoft OfficeFamiliar with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner schematic and Expedition layout toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong work ethic to support Product team design efforts and timingNice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)3 + years' hands-on experience in electrical product design from requirements analysis thru product launchExperience using simulationFamiliarity with industry standard environmental and electrical design and test standardsExperience designing for, and testing EMC complianceExperience with MathCad, Maple, or equivalent software and simulation toolsExperience with or course work on antenna theory, microcontrollers, digital signal processing, and high speed memoryExperience leading a design project through to production launchAbility to multitask across various project activitiesAbility to work with a global program teamTogether Let's Change Tomorrow!#J-18808-Ljbffr
