**ELECTRICAL ENGINEER**

As part of the Project Engineering group, the Electrical Engineer reports to the Project Engineering Electrical Team Leader. The Electrical Engineer executes the assigned Electrical Engineering tasks supporting the implementation of automated machining systems, integrating Makino machining centers with part delivery systems and other ancillary equipment supporting the machining process. The automated systems utilize various automation products including multi-axis robots (fixed pedestal, floortrack mount, and overhead), vision systems, marking systems, conveyors, etc. to automate the flow of material through Makino machining cells. The Electrical Engineer is assigned projects with responsibilities including research, development, design, documentation, and troubleshooting of automated systems. This pósiton will be located in our Queretaro Mexico office and report directly to the corporate office in the US.
**What will I be doing?**
- Generate complete design packages including schematics, bill of materials, recommended spare parts lists, and other associated project documentation.
- Ensure completed designs are functional, cost effective, meet customer specifications, and comply to safety regulations.
- Keep abreast of new automation products and developments affecting the organization for recommending changes in emphasis new design projects warranted by such developments.
- Work with internal groups and vendors as needed from project inception to final customer acceptance.
- Provides guidance and support to Automation Support Engineers for assembly of electrical designs.
- Effectively communicate problems/issues with other engineers within the Project Engineering group and 3rd party/contract engineering resources to collaborate on solutions to ensure all technical issues are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Troubleshoot technical issues when they occur in field and provides robust solutions.
- Participate in risk assessments of automation equipment.
- Collaborate with Contractors and Engineers assigned to the projects.
- Visit suppliers and customers as required to check on the progress and resolve issues with the manufacture of parts and installation of the automated systems.
- Maintain a working knowledge of governing regulations and specifications associated with electrical designs.

- Strong Bilingual (Spanish and English) verbal and written skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- General knowledge of the United States and international standards as applicable, including OSHA, ANSI, CE, ISO, NEC, NFPA, RIA, and UL.
- Satisfactory CAD skills working with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical or equivalent CAD Packages.
- General experience in troubleshooting issues and finding root cause by demonstrating strong analytical skills and ability to distill problems to engineering language and techniques.
- Ability to read and understand pneumatic schematics.
- Familiarity with material resource planning software (SAP preferred).
- Proficient use of MS Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneNote.
- Ability to obtain the required documentation to travel to the US for training (company will support obtaining these documents).
**Education and experience to be successful**:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an associate degree in electrical engineering or engineering Technology with two years equivalent work experience is required.
