.**SUMMARY**:**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES**:- Design and develop electro-mechanical products for Electrical Power Systems.- Provide detailed documentation, instructions, drawings, or specifications to communicate wiring, assembly, testing, modification, maintenance, or usage of devices, parts, and equipment.- Assist with technical submittals, approvals, concepts, and engineering technical packages, also known as Hand Off Package- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.- Use CAD design software like Solidworks/AutoCAD to create 3D models, drawings, and schematics for products based on customer specifications.- Respond to departmental requests for modifications or enhancements of existing products in a safe and cost-effective manner.- Provide technical customer service both internally and externally.- Design new products, equipment, or systems considering cost, material availability, strength, maintenance requirements, appearance, and impact on users and the environment.- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Item numbers in ERP system(s) using existing defined process.- Participate in the implementation of a new ERP system from the Engineering perspective and provide feedback on industry best practices.- Travel to the site in Corona, CA, USA, and field locations in Mexico, as needed, to solve engineering-related problems.- Acquire customer insights, needs, and wants via personal observations, informal feedback, analysis of internal data and secondary information, and formal marketing research tools.- Articulate and preserve the company's core competencies and values while identifying business building opportunities that strengthen and leverage these.- Match customer requirements to proposed standard or customized solutions successfully.- Support the Application Engineering Team in determining the scope of supply from project drawing and specifications.- Communicate all technical aspects of Pre-Sale and Post-Sale communications to the Application Engineering team and Commercial Operations team from the electrical design perspectives.- Confirm system and product specifications by designing feasibility and testing methods.- Evaluate testing methods to ensure system and product quality, test finished products and system capabilities, and confirm fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.- Conduct engineering design evaluations or peer reviews for pre-sale and post-sale DWG designs and packages.- Conduct research for system-related information as directed.- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and briefings.- Identify potential risks and appropriate courses of action should technical issues arise, or user requirements change.- Abide by all rules and regulations set forth in the employee handbook.- Be familiar with electro design in relation to UL requirements.- Become the electrical and electronics technical resource in all product offerings
