The Electrical/Electronics Engineer is responsible for designing the Hardware portion of the embedded systems and electronic assemblies for single phase UPS systems. The Electrical/Electronics Engineer supports the design from start to finish and provides technical guidance to Supply chain and Material Management in global and local locations to support New Product Development and sustaining products. The Electrical/Electronics Engineer works with local and global teams both within Vertiv.The Electrical/Electronics Engineer supports Global single phase UPS business. The Electrical/Electronics Engineer interacts with and supports Global engineering and product teams. Additionally, the Electrical/Electronics Engineer supports Supply Chain, material managers and Quality teams.**Responsibilities**:- Develop Designs new printed circuit board (printed wire) assemblies and low voltage electrical enclosures (> 240 volts AC).- **Reviewcustomer specification documents with Product Engineer from the electrical point of view**:- **Assist on wire harness design and wire harness component selection**:- **Develop HW requirements and the methods to verify them**:- **Participate on selecting the proper HW architecture and components based on Vertiv standard libraries**:- **Capture and maintain the electrical schematic in the Vertiv corporate tool based on Vertiv best practices**:- **Perform and report the circuit simulation and verification testing on prototypes during the various project phases**:- Working with contract resources and/or manufacturers for prototype/production board builds- **Participle and develop cost reduction and VA/VE ideas**:- Sustains engineering of current production electrical designs- Collaborates with other groups, including Mech Engineers, firmware & software developers, system test, customer support, and manufacturing.- Bachelor's degree, Electrical Engineering or related degree**Requirements**:- 5 years of experience in a hardware development role.- 5 years of experience using Product Life cycle management or Product documentation management tools.- Fluency in English.- Proficiency in writing functional requirements and documenting designs.- Experience with Mentor Graphics (SIEMENS) or other schematic capture tools.- Experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools.- Ability to execute on schedules for hardware board development lifecycles.- Ability to debug, validate, and develop/support manufacturing tests on board level products.- Experience in design for testability and manufacturability.- Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary.- Effective team member, consistent positive attitude, creativity.
