.Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Electrical Regional Sales Manager.What you'll do:PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Regional Sales Manager has responsibility to achieve profit plan sales for the distribution channel in his/her region. This includes developing and implementing growth plans to meet annual objectives and establishing communication channels and processes for domestic coordination of sales efforts for the assigned region. This position requires coaching, directing, leveraging internal & external sales resources, and driving product and the channel to market in order to achieve channel sales. Lead negotiations with selected strategic distributor and end user accounts through direct communication or preparing team members or distributors to represent the division in negotiations. Allocate resources to assure the division is represented in the proper markets to attain long-term sales and strategic goals. Develop relationships with key personnel at large direct customers and distributors and will develop key customer relationships between distributors and end user accounts. Support the electrical distribution sales team with pricing reports, quotations, and account development support. Attain sales growth goals at strategic electrical distributors through account penetration and global and domestic price negotiations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Engage in and direct the efforts in the negotiation of contractual arrangements with designated regional distributors. Develop new business (New Key end users, OEMs, and distributor accounts). Identify new project opportunities. Communicate effectively with the sales team on a daily basis to ensure alignment of sales activity. Develop, maintain, and extend distributor relationships. Provide sales support to all colleagues within the group. Develop sales plans, forecasts, and objectives for regional distributors. Collect and supply pertinent information to the Sales & Marketing Country Manager and in establishing goals and objectives in accordance with division requirements. Present growth plans for each area of responsibility to achieve market penetration goals. Analyze sales levels and trends and initiate appropriate action to ensure attainment of long and short-term objectives. Work with other departments to ensure superior customer support and coordination of product development with strategic customers and market needs. Work with other organizations within Eaton to leverage sales synergy opportunities.SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:Functional CompetenciesMinimum 5 years of experience in sales of the electrical sector.Knowledge in management of people.Experience in main electrical distributors.Willingness to travel.Excellent communication skills.Ability to communicate across various levels.Ability to support team members and provide advice where necessary.Excellent business acumen.Ability to research, identify, and assess market potential to engage in new projects
