Electromechanical Technician
A Electromechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining all refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and facilities in good operating condition by performing necessary repairs and preventative maintenance.
**What will I do?**
As a Electromechanical Technician, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Accomplishes all refrigeration and air conditioning problem reports daily. Priority is given to room problems
- Works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and colleagues to carry out preventive maintenance and the annual maintenance program
- Follows all work safety rules and regulations, departmental procedures and instructions
- Performs all other duties as assigned by your supervisor
In addition to performing essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following support functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be determined solely by the supervisor based on the particular requirements of the company.
- Able to read construction, air conditioning, refrigeration and electrical drawings
- Able to troubleshoot and repair air conditioning, refrigeration and building control systems. Good electrical knowledge
- Knowledge of BMS systems.
- Experience in alternative chillers and air treatment plants and cold rooms
- Familiar with planned preventive maintenance and safety programs
- Flexible and team player: able to work on own initiative
- Good understanding of water treatment techniques and able to handle chemicals
- Make periodic inspection visits to verify that all refrigeration equipment is working properly.
- Performs room maintenance according to the scheduling schedule
- Works closely with electrician to carry out electrical work when necessary, including functions and parts
- Daily cooling record sheet to be filled out and temperature recorded
- Works closely with co-workers to assist in their work when requested by supervisor
- Keeps all necessary tools in good working condition, keeps your workplace tidy and clean
- Reaches all departmental meetings and training classes
