**Position Overview**:
As a Engineer (SMT), you will be responsible for supporting the setup, installation, and maintenance of our SMT machines in our newly established factory in Mexico. Your expertise in SMT technology and machinery will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our production line and optimizing production processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, maintenance, and quality assurance, to achieve operational efficiency and deliver high-quality PCBA products to our customers.
**Responsibilities**:
Support the setup, installation, and commissioning of SMT machines and related equipment in the factory.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of SMT machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and diagnose SMT equipment malfunctions, implementing timely repairs and adjustments to minimize production interruptions.
Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize machine parameters, ensuring consistent product quality and production efficiency.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance plans for all SMT machinery.
Maintain accurate documentation of machine specifications, maintenance records, and repair activities.
Train machine operators and maintenance staff on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety procedures for SMT equipment.
Ensure compliance with industrial standards and best practices for SMT processes and equipment.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
Stay updated with the latest advancements and technologies in SMT machinery, suggesting upgrades and improvements as necessary.
Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in SMT production or electronics manufacturing.
Proven expertise in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SMT machines, including pick-and-place machines, soldering equipment, and stencil printers.
Strong knowledge of SMT process parameters, soldering techniques, and quality control in PCBA production.
Familiarity with PCB layout and design principles, component packages, and soldering materials.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Some level of Mandarin is a plus.
