We are now uniquely positioned as the leading global technology company serving both the traditional automotive and new mobility markets.**Your Role**The Software Architect is responsible for the software design and for the delivery of all technical aspects of software architecture into the product design. You will work with major customers and a talented global Aptiv team to deliver automotive ECU's leveraging technologies such as embedded microprocessors, Ethernet, and CAN (Controller Area Network) protocols, along with GPS, ultrasonic, cameras and Radar technology.**Job duties and responsibilities**:- Owns the system architecture strategy and overall product architecture- Plans and monitors architecture work for all product releases and program increments- Analyzes and structures system capabilities and features based on the system requirements- Analyzes and documents system design alternatives- Defines logical and physical product system architecture- Allocates system requirements to physical and logical architecture elements- Actively drives integration of software and hardware- Defines system interfaces, operating modes, and dynamic behavior- Collaborates with electrical engineers to define hardware inputs and outputs which make up the product hardware software interface specification- Contributes to new product design concepts and quotations.**JOB REQUIREMENTS****CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS****Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**- Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge- Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven.
