**Position Summary**
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Establishes, interprets and administers labor policies and internal practices related to to employee disputes, grievances, union and management practices. Advises and provides updates to management regarding changes in regulations, rulings and practices to ensure company compliance to federal and state labor labor laws.
- Oversees labor relations issues for Stores, CAT and DC. Advises and provides coaching to HR and management regarding all involuntary employee terminations and disciplinary actions that involve potential finacial exposure for the company. Coordinates with external labor counsel to prepare and provide all necessary documentation for disputed termination cases.
- Responsible for reporting and analysis of labor related cases, trends and costs. Responsible for administration, tracking, reporting and analysis of HR related investigations and the DMII process.
- Functions as the liasion, maintains relationships and effective communication with, third party representative and lead external labor counsel. Ensures timely and effective adminstration of all collective bargaining agreements to minimize company exposure to financial loss or business interruption due to any labor related issue.
- Coordinates the preparation of required documentation to respond to all labor related federal, state, local and internal audits. Ensures compliance to all federal, state and internal record retention requirements. Responsible for administration and updates to all employment and labor related contracts.
**Position Requirements**:
- Level of Formal Education:A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
- Area of Study:Human Resources, Law, Industrial Psychology or Business Administration
- Years of Experience:More than seven years.
- Type of Experience:Settling disputed termination cases before labor boards. Negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements. Settling union organization campaigns and strike threats.
