Job Description - Energy Assets RECs and Incentives Management Expert (0090HU)
Greenstruxure has an opportunity for an Energy Assets RECs and Incentives Management Expert in our Punto Valle location.
GreenStruxure is a partnership combining Schneider Electric's industry-leading energy management and microgrid expertise with Huck Capital's sustainability-focused investment and operational focus. This partnership creates an innovative alternative for building owners and operators who want to transition to renewable energy to lower emissions, increase resiliency, and reduce costs, without investing in renewable energy assets and relying on specialists to operate the microgrid.
By offering Energy As A Service solutions under an outcome-based model, GreenStruxure ambitions to simplify the market adoption of microgrids, that until now could be a very custom, complex, and expensive process by providing standardized, modular, pre-engineered solutions. GreenStruxure's pipeline projects 5 megatons of greenhouse gas savings. GreenStruxure Energy Services contracted with C&I customers help them reach their ESG goals (decarbonizing their energy consumption), limit their exposure to cost variations (demand charge management), and secure business continuity (resilience) thanks to onsite generation powered by unique digital edge and cloud capabilities.
What do you get to do in this position? Showing a strong customer satisfaction and business acumen, combined with an excellent capacity to manage technical and business situations in a moving context, GreenStruxure's Energy Assets RECs and Incentives Manager organizes all operations needed to achieve compliance and maximize revenue of GreenStruxure Energy Assets under management in terms of incentives collection and Energy attributes certificates (RECs) lifecycle management.
By Energy assets, we mean Energy Storage Assets (Batteries), combined with Clean energy Generation (PV), and potentially customer Flexible loads (EV chargers), controlled by GreenStruxure through its IoT stack and engaged in various revenue generation and cost avoidance services. Beyond their monetization through GreenStruxure services, these Assets may be entitled to generate additional revenue through the incentives that can be collected from authorities and the management of the RECs generated and their monetization on the market or to GreenStruxure customers.
He/she manages all required activities to declare, file, collect, and report the Assets incentives and RECs in the field, aimed at generating contracted and merchant outcomes for the combined benefit of Customers, asset owners, and GreenStruxure, and to support sustainability reporting for the ultimate owner of the RECs.
He/she has a holistic view of the various processes to be deployed to comply with incentives collection and RECs generation, retirement, and monetization.
In collaboration with GreenStruxure teams and 3rd party service providers, He/she ensures maximum incentive revenue and RECs monetization is achieved, while keeping the assets operations in the required boundaries to guarantee the collection of these revenues.
He/she ensures the target owner of RECs receives all required credentials to be able to claim the rights associated with these RECs.
Under the management of the Digital Services SVP, he/she is responsible for:
Ensuring proper enrollment of the target assets in all contracted and non-contracted incentives and RECs programs that will ensure maximum financial and sustainability outcomes for the Asset.Overseeing the operations of the target Assets with his/her peers to ensure the contracted and noncontracted revenue and maximize it under defined operating boundaries that guarantee the obtention of the incentives / RECs.Filing, declaring the assets operating outcomes to comply with required reporting and generate the corresponding incentives or RECs.Collecting and retiring the incentives and RECs revenues on behalf of GreenStruxure, Assetco or customer and report on the achieved results in required internal and external tools.Reporting on Financial and sustainability performance of the Asset vs contracted and non-contracted outcomes.Interacting with Internal GreenStruxure staff and 3rd party service provider staff to coordinate and track all incentives and EACs operations history and credentials.When appropriate, monitoring asset performance in the digital platform (shared responsibility with the entire team).Updating Cases in the case management system for his/her functional scope.Contributing to asset owner and customer success management with the rest of the team through reporting on the Asset performance and outcomes for his/her functional scope.This job might be for you if you fit the following requirements: Engineering or Business master's degree in renewable energy assets (PV, Storage, Smart and microgrids).Advanced English level.5-10 years of industry experience (Renewable Energy, Utility, Solar & Storage, EAAS).Incentives and RECs management experience.Operational experience on operating flexible assets with revenue targets.Able to work under Hybrid scheme – work from home policy for 2 to 3 days max/week, as long as tools permit.International travel will be required on an exceptional basis.Working across time zones may require flexibility in working hours.Schneider Electric offers a robust benefits package to support our employees such as flexible work arrangements, paid family leave, a culture of wellness, and more great benefits above and beyond a typical employer.
