**Position Summary**: Provides accurate and timely information and assistance to store personnel, AutoZone customers, vendors, repair shops and others regarding warranties and customer information. Assists in filing claims and assuring quality customer services. Researches complaints, failures, manufacturer warranties, works on product liability claims dealing with stores, customers and service centers etc. Interacts and follows up with vendors on filed claims. Performs other duties as assigned. Specializes in Engine & Transmission claims.**Job Responsibilities- Other duties may be assigned**:- 60% Communicates with AutoZone stores to update and relay information in regard to product liability claims. Communicates with customers to update them on the progress of the claim or to discuss the decision that was made on the claim. Communicates with service centers regarding diagnostic procedures and decision making in regard to product liability claims.- 10% Negotiates claim settlements between product vendors and AutoZone customers. Makes decisions resulting in payment of settlement to customers and service centers- 10% Documents all information associated with product liability claims after a discussion with the store, customer or service center- 10% Works with vendors to help troubleshoot problems in regard to product liability claims- 10% Audits invoices from customers, commercial accounts and service centers to make sure they match the work that was authorized**Supervisory Responsibility**:- This position has no direct reports**Skills and Requirements**:- Level of formal education: A formal training program after high school- Area of study: Automotive technology and repair, automotive dealership programs, vehicle repair and installation. Specialized in engine and transmission repair and installation- Years of experience: Two to three years- Type of experience: High-End Automotive & Parts experience, experience in a Customer service contact center. A technical background with engines, transmission and cylinder heads is required- Special certifications or technical skills: Fluent in English & Spanish. AMPSAS or ASE certification- Other/preferred: Good analytical skills with the ability to review supporting documentation related to claims. Strong phone and written communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are required. Excellent customer service skills.
