One or more years working in a manufacturing environment (internship and co-op experience will be considered)- Understanding and working knowledge of relevant external safety standards such as OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, Mexican Law etc as well as FAS08 and VOSS /PTO ME internal safety standards- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office- Strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work as a team- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills- Ability to guide and influence all levels- Demonstrated conflict leadership skills- Experience working in a Union Environment- Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Mexican law, Manufacturing, HR,)- Experience in similar position / Minimum 1 years- Safety and Hygene certification Preferred- Advance English Level Knowledge**Safety system audit**- Coordinate team preparation for external SOS (Safety Operative system)/SHARP (Safety and Health Assessment Review Process) of safety system audits.- Conduct internal safety system audits in each production area and work with management to address the gaps.**Implementation & improvement of safety systems.**- Liaise with SOS Coach to address the results of the SOS gap analysis- Develop Operating Procedures, Operating Forms and policies**Safety Training**- Work with the Training Coordinator on safety training planning, materials and delivery**Safety Advisor (Subject Matter Expert)**- Provide specialist technical advice and perform Safety Risk Assessments (SRA)- Supervise and mentor the full time SRA personnel- Provide safety training to production personnel- Achieve effective working relationships with OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) representatives, production supervisors/managers and manufacturing engineers- Assist the Areas in incident investigations for high potential incidents,- Advise and mediate OHS based disagreements and assist in resolving OHS issues,- Prioritize competing demands**Corporate Reporting**- Enter monthly injury/illness data into PLAID on the Ford intranet- Enter incident reports in GPIRS (Ford intranet) that meet the criteria- Respond to Ford Global safety alerts and enter status in GPIRS (Global Preliminary Incident Reporting System)/ GERT (Global Event Reporting Tool).
