.**LOCATION**:Acuna / Coahuila (MX-COA), Mexico | **BRAND**: Bendix | **REQUISITION ID**:4442 | ** JOB GRADE**: 16| ** ON-SITE/REMOTE**: On-site**JOB DESCRIPTION**:Position Summary: Product Engineer position is responsible for engineering activities on pneumatic and electro-pneumatic valves used in the product line of vehicles braking components and system. Technical responsibilities for a specific product/family of products include analysis and implementation of design changes, product improvements, concept prototyping, validations, supplier transitions, cost improvement, new variants release, external and internal customer support/projects; technical product evaluations; creation and maintenance of product requirements like DFMEAs, specifications, BOMs, 3D models, 2D drawings, test plan validations, continuous support and monitoring of production lines, manufacturing processes and quality controls.Essential Functions:- Works closely with Design/Test Engineers to create/update product drawings, specificationsand document product requirements.- Create and conduct Design Validation Product Plan and Releases (DVP&R) for products requirements.- Ensure MSA studies for projects, process and equipment used.- Author of product/design/testing specifications and components/assembly drawings.- Lead and update DFMEA activities including critical characteristics (C/C's and S/C's) linkage to product safety, standards regulations, and manufacturing processes implementation.- Interface with Advance Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineers and Plant Engineers to implement modifications needed as production assembly lines to comply with product specifications/requirements.- Collaborate with plant requirements for IPA and PPAPs processes including VAVE activities.- Create and coordinate Product Quality Audits (PQAs).- Lead problem-solving activities with cross functional teams providing conclusions and recommendations based on testing reports.- Perform analysis of End-Of-Line rejects and warranty returns; synthesis and implementation of solutions.- Learn valve design techniques from current experts, capture knowledge and create documentation to maintain Bendix valve design knowledge base.- Perform basic project management tasks - maintain project status and milestones; report out to management; anticipate workload, potential delays, potential problems.- The individual will display and further develop an area of technical expertise, to be used as a "To-Go" person within the engineering department for that technology or technique.- This position includes to travel to work with Customers, Bendix & Knorr-Bremse colleagues as well as Suppliers.- Consider Safety and 5's as high priority- Work in AGILE/SCRUM environmentsKnowledge:- Generate and Evaluate Product Change Proposals and Requests- Proficient on DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP, DVP&R, PPAP, MSA, Continuous Improvement and 5's
