Learn more today! www.Bendix.Com/careersJOB DESCRIPTION:Summary:The Controls Engineer supports the maintenance of automated equipment used to release production parts within the plant.Essential Functions:Coordinate, supervise, and participate in all test stand activities in support of manufacturing, including procurement, runoff, gage R&R, programming, calibration, troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance.Design and manage process support systems to maximize equipment up-time and availability (OEE).Daily support to work teams in the area of calibration and test.Develop/extend system for real-time data acquisition. Analyze process data for capability and process optimization potential.Assure equipment compliance to all safety standards and regulations.Supports IATF-16949 activities.Assist in the data collection system in order to provide quality information.The employee has the authority to stop the production line when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.Support PSA activities and procedures with team members.Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.Management and Supervisory Responsibilities:Knowledge:Must have strong programming, electronics, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic background.Experience:Must have experience installing and managing a data collection system, in accordance with the intent of IATF-16949 standards.4-8 years of hands-on experience.Skills:Self-starter, capable of working independently, highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency and the creativity to achieve results quickly.Ability to effectively interface with others as necessary to resolve scheduling, designs, quality, and repair calibration issues.Possess exceptional technical skills (electronic, electrical, and mechanical), PLC programming and installation, pressure transducers, strain gauges, wiring, design and build, and standard electronic test equipment.Must have demonstrated ability in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated automated equipment.Education/Certifications:Bachelor's Degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or similar technical field.Greenbelt certification a must.Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
