The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated process engineer with hands-on experience developing software solutions for process industries, with strong mathematical and engineering principles. This position will play a key role in the technical development and maintenance of Aspen HYSYS®, the industry-leading software for process modeling, simulation, and optimization.
Your Impact
- Design, develop, maintain, and support new and existing capabilities for modeling, simulation, design, and rating of industrial and chemical processes.
- Keep current with new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and academia and assist in determining the feasibility of implementing new technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, product marketing, services team, business support and developers to understand customer needs and translate them into product requirements and specifications.
- Work closely with customers to understand their engineering work processes and workflow requirements, translating them into successful solutions for their daily operations using our software.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields (Master's preferred).
- 2+ years of industrial and/or academic experience in the development of software for modeling, simulation, and design of chemical, mechanical and/or refining processes.
- Strong math and analytical skills (background in thermodynamic modeling and numerical methods).
- Strong coding skills in oriented-object programming languages.
- Effective communication skills (interpersonal, demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and simple manner, explain and present reports).
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Problem-solving ability and attention to details.
- Experience using software tools for process simulation, design, rating, and costing - experience with AspenTech products is a plus.
