The Engineer works under the direction of the program manager for the Soconusco region and is responsible for all construction and design activities, working full-time. The engineer coordinates the technical staff in the construction and engineering area to ensure that objectives within the country program are achieved. Specific Job Tasks: Maintain a Relationship between the Mexico Program and Global Leaders in the USA: Keep the Water Mission Mexico Program aligned with global leaders. Maintain a strong relationship with the Programs Engineering Department in the United States. Prepare monthly statistical reports on the impact generated in work regions to share with leaders and donors. Prepare monthly reports for the UPTIME program. Work in coordination with the global office on the design of WASH solutions. Maintain monthly inventory control in coordination with global offices. Promote and implement the long-term operation of the Rural Water Cooperative in coordination with global offices. Coordinate the Engineering and Construction Program Activities in Water Mission Mexico: Create work plans and schedules on assigned platforms. Supervise and monitor daily field activities and construction staff in the Soconusco region. Update the program's information systems weekly. Generate monthly budgets. Generate weekly expense reports. Create, design, implement, and manage small and large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner. Conduct research and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, charts, etc.). Perform technical and feasibility studies. Draft plans and designs that meet the program's technical specifications. Assess potential risks and implement solutions. Comply with national and international guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety, and provide files and any other necessary technical documentation. Create and/or manage processes that increase the impact of WM's participation in the work area. Monitor water quality, water production, and project uptime weekly in the Soconusco region. Coordinate and train construction staff in the Soconusco region. Resolve conflicts using WM's principles and values. Maintain Healthy Relationships with Strategic Partners: Design, draft, and sign contracts or agreements with government authorities and community members.
