Our people make us who we are, and we create incredible products and experiences that empower us to THINK OUTSIDE.- JOB SUMMARY:- Working under the framework of the Polaris Production System (PPS), leads continuous improvement initiatives, assesses current business performance, identifies gaps, establishes and implements improvement plans, monitors progress, and shares / acquires best-in-class ideas and processes. Responsible for Lean project execution. Ensures the facilities obtain budgetary goals set for lean manufacturing projects through partnering with campus production teams and management. Trains production teams, plans and executes lean workshops, and documents and reports results.- ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Facilitate cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Material Flow, and Cost.-- Value Stream Analysis (Current and Future State Value Stream Mapping).-- Develop Future State vision and implementation plan.-- Support other C.I. initiatives, including best practice implementation, while striving to improve Business Metrics.-- Coach team members in understanding Lean principles.-- Assist in the gathering of PPS Assessment data. Collaborate with Lean Manager to improve Lean-relevant metrics.-- Using standard tracking and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality and savings goals.-- Assist Lean Manager in any strategic initiative that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the campus- .- SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:- Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Business, or equivalent work experience required.-- Prior manufacturing experience (3 years minimum)-- Has shown initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations.-- Has solid leadership skills and strong lean systems expertise (1 year experience as Lean Engineer is mandatory)-- Has a solid understanding of manufacturing and lean principles, including Process Controls, Heijunka, SMED, VSM, Kanban, GEMBA & Material flow.-- Advanced computer skills (experience with Excel and Power BI are desirable).-- A strong interest in process and quality improvement and the ability to provide leadership is necessary.-- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written, and presentation skills.-- Has demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority.- WORKING CONDITIONS:- Fast & flexible paced manufacturing environmentAbout PolarisAs the global leader in powersports, Polaris Inc
