RIGHT NOW.Title:Engineer ProductPrimary Location:Mexico (MX):Nuevo LeónJD Shared Svcs:MonterreyFunction:Engineering (CA)Major PurposeAs a Design Engineer for John Deere's Enterprise Technology and Innovation Center, you will work in a cross functional team supporting John Deere Power Systems' products, focusing on diesel engine components.Main Responsibilities- Lead product engineering activities for engines (requirement understanding, concept definition and development, virtual and physical validation, prototype fabrication and implementation in production line)- Provide design solutions to achieve goals related to performance, quality, manufacturability, standardization, and cost.- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to PVV, manufacturing, quality, production, and supply management teams to ensure product requirements are met.- Ensure that supplier components and solutions meetengineering requirements.- Resolve product, factory or warranty issues.- Manage workflow activities to release parts in system.- Support and coach less experienced engineers within team.What Skills You Need- Experience in product engineering project implementation and complex problem resolution:Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience.- Strong knowledge of control engineering (model based simulation, communication protocols) and mechanical engineering (fluid mechanics, heat transfer, design of machine elements).- Proficient use of data analysis tools (Simulink, Matlab).- Proficient use of CAD, virtual tools for proof of concept (CREO Parametric).- Experience working with a global supply base on product development.- Fluent on English.What Makes You Stand Out- Basic knowledge and principles of internal combustion engines.- Experience with engine system diagnostics or similar.- Understanding of virtual tools and interpretation of results (FEA, CFD)- Understanding of engineering and design tools (FMEA, GD and T, 8Ds, Root cause analysis, etc.)- Master's degree in EngineeringEducation (or equivalent experience):Engineering degree in Mechatronics / Aeronautic / Robotics or equivalent.
