Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.**Main Responsibilities**:This position will support execution of CFD projects to virtually verify aftertreatment system designs and support efforts to meet stated performance & emission criteria. This position will maintain seamless collaboration with the Virtual Systems Analysis Team, Analysis & Simulation teams, Product Design and Product Validation teams. This position will execute the VDV plans aligned with the program priorities and will support efforts to meet aftertreatment design development requirements through simulations. This position will also support the Aftertreatment CFD simulation capability enhancement in advanced areas such as urea deposit predictions and cycle time reduction for the simulation processes by developing efficient workflows and automations.- Under guidance or independently handles CFD problems related to aftertreatment (DOC, DPF, SCR, AOC).- Improves test measurement vs. CFD prediction correlation by enhancing the simulation capabilities.**What Skills You Need**:- Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.- Skill in using company information systems and processes.- Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to the company product.- Compiles and furnishes necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design solution.- Schedules and leads analysis reviews to share results with the product design and test engineers.
