Established in 1874, we have grown to become the world leader in mining and civil blasting with a diverse of team of more than 13,000 across the world.It's an exciting time to join us – we are shaping the future of mining through digital and automated technologies, embracing new ways of thinking, pioneering innovation and reimagining the way we work.About the roleThe Project Engineer provides engineering input into the planning and implementation of capital projects and continuous improvements implementations.What you will be doingProvides engineering support in capital projects and existing plant and assetsEnsures regulatory and statutory compliance of assets delivered by project teamManagement of Design ResourcesDrives business improvement (delivering the savings, governance and process)Provides regional engineering and capex supportEnsures all designs produced comply with all relevant statutory and corporate standards.Ensures that design requests are documented through the SAP Work Order system and supported by concept papers, scope of works and design reviews where appropriate.Maximises the utilisation of existing designs ensuring standardisation of components and design concepts for fixed plant and mobile equipment.Manages project design and drafting resources efficiently.Seeks to improve customer outcomes through the consideration of customer perspectives.Ensures work is appropriately defined such that design output and processes meet customer expectations.Shares technical and business knowledge throughout the global engineering group.Manages relationships with internal business units and external service providers for timely delivery of cost effective design solutions.Evaluates protection systems to enable compliance with the Group's safety objectives.Provides technical advice and assist as agreed in the investigation of significant incidentsWhat you will bringCivil Engineering degree or equivalent5 years of related/similar experience in civil engineeringAdvance English skills (not a requirement, an asset)How you shape and influence others* Demonstrates courage, resilience and flexibility* Strong reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values and solid character* Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal & communication skills* Self-aware and open to feedback* Work effectively across business unit* High level decision making ability* Able to manage multiple tasks within deadlines and work independentlyWhat we offerAs part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture
