Come connect to your future.Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a Should Cost Engineer to join our Juarez, Mexico team.How You'll Help Us Connect the World- Update Should Cost database with market specific information such as current material cost.- Optimize the Should Costing software to accurately cost components for the metal, plastic and cable assemble cost model.- Analyze the global category spend and identify savings opportunities based on the part's Should Cost versus the current price.- Work in conjunction with business units, engineering, and category management to identify new cost savings opportunities.- Develop category specific should cost models in support of NPI and Category management's negotiations with the supply base.- Support the Procurement group's negotiations using Should Cost tools as a technical authority and join the negotiations.- Work on Value Engineering play-test, proposals and implementation actions, provide the timely execution of costing requests.- Liaison and collaborate with the various business functions for above responsibilities.Required Qualifications for Consideration- Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial engineering- 5+ years of Manufacturing/Process experience in the fields of metal and plastic molding is helpful.- Very strong analytical skills coupled with excellent interpersonal and communications skills- Strong digital literacy in MS Office tools and ERP systems.- English: Proficient- Can work flex hours for meetings with teams in North America, Europe, and AsiaYou Will Excite Us if you Have- Experience in Procurement, Materials/Purchasing or Coordinated Supply Chain business processes is a plus- Prior familiarity with Should Costing Software and CAD is a plusWhy CommScope:CommScope is on a quest to deliver connectivity that empowers how we live, work, and learn.
