.**Position Summary**:As a member of the Global Supplier Quality organization, the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be a key contributor into the global supplier quality / performance management program at Thermo Fisher. The SQE is responsible for ongoing maintenance of the supplier program, overseeing the assessment function and day to day supplier management. This position collaborates closely with other departments to identify, investigate and resolve product non-conformances while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role holder is part of the Global Supplier Quality Team and as such supports the global supplier program as the need arises.*****Key Responsibilities**:- Work as part of the Global Supplier Quality team to support the function including auditing, supplier performance and systems & processes.- Maintain supplier approval status through review and approval of new requests and change requests as per applicable standard or requirements.- Lead and run the execution of objectives for the control of external suppliers, in alignment with goals of the company and objectives.- Ensure alignment between suppliers and related quality requirements and specifications.- Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate metrics to assess supplier performance. Provide timely and accurate communication to team on supplier performance metrics.- Lead meetings related to supplier performance monitoring, issue resolution, strategy definition for specific suppliers.- Support processes for new material qualification, end of life materials/components, product development, supplier requests for material changes and sustaining engineering.- Drive problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and internal customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances- Generate and maintain responsibility for Supplier Quality Agreements that align with Thermo Fisher expectations for the manufacture to ensure compliance with current standards, guidance documents, and regulations for the sale of product as applicable.- Collaborate with other departments effectively to define actions and priorities for supplier related quality issues.- Support the Material Review Board meetings and other critical decision-making meetings as required to define Suppliers' responsibilities and effectiveness.- Align with Purchasing to report supplier performance while monitoring ratings and uncooperative suppliers.- Develop relationships with critical suppliers to support the business.- Work with relevant business Unit leaders to facilitate integration of new suppliers.- Harmonize vendor related functions within wider Global Supplier Quality processes to ensure alignment and encompassing the need of business functions/procurement.- Review and assess supplier notification of change and communicate accordingly.- Ensure issues such as delays in audits, quality agreements, etc. are prioritized appropriately and resolved effectively
