The project is one of the most important infrastructures of the capital city and the scope of work includes the prefabrication, transportation and erection of the deck of the 3.5 km long elevated guideway, built using the span-by-span method with precast match-cast technology and erected using overhead gantries.
Responsibilities:Drawing up the technical designs and plans for the erection of the prefabricated segments and spans (definition of working methods, risk assessments, working procedures, inspection and testing plan, construction filming, civil engineering, temporary works, etc.)Assisting the erection manager in the procurement of specific technical items or subcontractsCarrying out structural surveys and site inspections during the erection phase of the project.Monitoring progress, ensuring that all work activities are carried out in accordance with the technical specifications, documentation and standards established by RDE/Deal, and providing status and progress reports.Providing recommendations for performance and process improvements to increase efficiency/productivity, improve HS conditions and optimise equipment and other resources.Identifying potential criticalities and/or deviations from original contract terms or engineering plans, providing alternative solutions and recommendations, and determining strategies to address challenges.Resolving QA/QC and technical issues identified during the installation process with the engineering and QA/QC departments.Participating in meetings with the client and third parties to properly address technical and quality issues (construction methods, handover procedures, etc.).Coordinating the project handover process to the client.Good knowledge of English and Spanish required.For a railway construction project between Mexico City and Toluca, we are looking for a Precast Yard Coordinator to oversee the outsourced precast production activity.
Essential duties:Defining working procedures and analysing risks associated with the tasks to be performed.Assisting our subcontractor's Precast Yard Manager in the day-to-day management of ALL segment precast operations and personnel.Providing technical input on various aspects of segment production.Liaising with the erection team to establish the precast segment production schedule and timely manage the storage, finishing and delivery of precast units to the erection team, ensuring optimum use of proprietary precast equipment to meet all production targets throughout the project and supervising all segment finishing work, obtaining client approval of all precast segments prior to delivery.Verifying the correct implementation of the working method within the quality and safety requirements.Liaising with design, engineering and QA/QC groups to address and resolve technical issues related to segment production.Managing all personnel and functions associated with the loading, transport and delivery of precast segments to the segment erection team.Preparing, presenting and delivering regular production and inventory reports.Monitoring activity performance metrics and reporting to management for further action.Requirements:At least 5 years' experience in precasting.Good knowledge of English and Spanish required.
