.Responsible for supporting activities that may include:- SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologies.Typically part of a larger effort or project- manufacturing process definition- sequence of operations- human factors consideration- efficient material flow- design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts- providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sourcesWork may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.**Additional Job Description**Responsible to Plan, develop, review and execute installation projects of machinery and equipment on brown and green field projects at GPS Plants in Mexico. For execution, it is supported by a construction management, A/E firm and installation contractors who must ensure compliance with the layouts, GM Specs, and installation timing, following and respecting GM Construction General Terms and Conditions. The work also includes the coordination of activities with the departments of Plant Engineering (USA), Environmental, Safety, Industrial Engineering, Global Facilities, Manufacturing Engineering and all those areas interested in the project. The work involves a technical nature requiring a considerable amount of perception and initiative to make decisions. The work is developed independently and is accompanied by a high level of independent judgment. It could supervise administrative employees and coordinate work with other installation representatives and GM personnel.
