**Position Summary**
- Strong personnel coordination (engineers and technician levels), responsible for laboratory budget management: Capital and operational expenses management. Strong knowledge on product validation testing procedures and automotive industry standards. Strong experience with ISO 17025, ISO 14001 & IATF 16949. Advanced English & Spanish communication (written & verbal). Experienced in Test equipment Calibration/Maintenance coordination. Solid experience in meeting product validation testing schedules. Solid technical knowledge in: Environmental testing (high/low temperature test cycles & humidity), electrical and mechanical product testing. Product testing data analysis. Effective interaction and engagement with test equipment manufacturers, product engineering areas, validation engineering and outsourced testing suppliers. Effective planning, tasks assignments, lab orders management, reports review and follow-up skills. _
- Support to Engineering and Quality teams in Warranty Issues reported, providing guidance in problem solving strategies and support with analytic data analysis. _
**Your Role**
Communication / Network
- Validation Test request process, review and analysis.
- Analyze customer specification with the Quality, Product Engineering and Validation Engineering teams
- Define strategic for new crimp tools requirements - External/Internal designs
Planning
- Review customer Validation Requirements and Test Plan.
- Development of Validation Test Plan, Test specification, Timing plan.
- Certify Crimp Tool designs and Crimp applicators assembly for new projects - release in all Operations Plants
Manager
- Manage the planning inside the Environmental laboratory and allocate resources (technicians, tools, benches)
- Responsible for obtaining the specific tools needed for the validation (need specification and follow-up) and deliver to all division plants crimp tools as required
- Manage the cost of the validation activities and crimp tools cost
Validation Execution
- Carry out all work to comply with Quality Management System and Validation Engineering Processes e.g. Automotive USCAR 21
- Participate in Failure analysis of Validation issues with support from internal & external customer/report on actions until Failure Analysis is closed.
- Reporting & presenting Validation Timing plans.
- Customer interaction, meeting preparations and lab visit support
- Final Customer Report generation
**Your Background**
- A relevant Technical Engineering Degree e.g., Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Min 3 years test engineering experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents /schematics.
- Knowledge of automotive wiring engineering standards: USCAR 21, USCAR 2, USCAR 38
- Validation experience with knowledge of test & validation methods
- Experience in Mechanical Crimp Design and Crimp Processes
- Strong background in problem solving analysis
