A total number of 180+ employees (and increasing every day) from 22 different nationalities and with over 25 languages spoken.We promote an open minded environment and encourage our employees to create their own success story in this high performance environment.**Location**: Guadalajara, Jalisco, México**Department**: Engineering**Job summary**:We are looking for an individual with great leadership and team handling skills, strong hands on experience in software development, and excited to work in a fun and friendly fast paced environment.**Responsibilities and tasks**:**Manage a team** (comprising Software Engineers, Sr. Software Engineers, QA Engineers), including providing the technical direction, task allocation and code reviews.**Drive technical projects** and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.**Owns overall planning, execution, and success** of complex technical projects.Contribute technically to projects.Work closely with the Product Management team to ensure we're building the best products which deliver value to our clients.Set up best practices for development, champion their adoptionWork closely with team to estimate and plan projects in an Agile environmentManaging customer issues and escalations and tracking the Customer SLAs closelyDefining/evolving and enforcing relevant software development processes for the Engineering team.Ensuring that the team complies to the quality standardsActive communication and coordination with clients and internal stakeholderMotivating the team, mentoring and helping them in developing their careers, perform performance appraisalsParticipate in hiring different roles required in the team**What You Need to Succeed at BlueOptima**:- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 10- 12 years in the software industry and 3-5 years of experience managing customer facing software development teams.- Minimum of 5 years of software product development experience, and hands on technical work with full life cycle implementations
