We understand that your life is about more than just work, so we're committed to a culture that supports your whole life.Position SummaryThe Engineering Manager at F5 is responsible for providing development, production support, and platform and solution roadmaps for the integration space within F5.In this role you can expect to work on many projects at the same time, build and manage diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines, formulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other leaders.
You will be managing a team responsible for providing deep technical skills in integrations technologies, approaches, governance, and innovation.Primary Responsibilities- Your team will be accountable for deployment, maintenance, product evaluation, selection, installation, integration, user support, problem resolution, & ongoing maintenance of integration platforms.- Your team will be accountable for leading an Integration Center of Excellence and working collaboratively with other engineering teams to help them with learning, developing, and managing their integrations in accordance with best practices.- Your team will be responsible for taking technical lead/Solution Architect on large complex systems and infrastructure projects as it relates to integration, and advocating for, supporting, and delivering next generation integration approaches, patterns, and platforms for wide use among F5 engineering teams.- Lead ongoing communications regarding system issues/activities with all partners: department executives and managers, end-users, IT (Information Technology) staff, vendors, customers, etc.- Lead and Drive Proof of Concept implementations for software solutions being engineered and or Agile Spike Efforts.- Partnering with other Architects to find the best technology solutions.- Employee management includes sourcing, interviewing, and hiring talent for open positions.
You will also help with onboarding, establishing goals, assigning, or delegating work, providing on-the-job training, giving mentorship to staff, conducting performance evaluations, approving paid-time-off (PTO), developing performance improvement plans, and taking disciplinary action
