Job Description Engineering Manager Plant Facilities Management and Development Establish manufacturing systems, procedures, and processes to ensure the plant has the capability to meet customer requirements Develop, manage, implement, and validate changes to the current plant, processes & products / manufacturing system (value streams) Deliver plant, process and product improvement projects aimed at optimising the plant capability & capacity through the contracting of change with production Provide maintenance services to production.
Accountable for PM program and PM schedule Provide engineering (equipment and process) support and services including plant & process validation, problem analysis, failure investigation and corrective actions (as agreed with production).
Maintain and improve reliability of equipment and facilities (key to productivity and capacity improvement) Provide manufacturing and engineering review/approval for engineering change control systems, including developing & maintaining appropriate measurements to monitor key process improvements Develop and manage a plant infrastructure plan and programme to ensure all technical aspects of the plant comply with process and EHS requirements Develop and manage the site CAPEX programme Customer/Product Support Manage the RFQ process including managing the customer quote system, leading the quote review board which meets daily Provide technical and business assessment of customer requirements (including RFQ's) to determine feasibility supply, including developing samples, prototypes, and commercial production capability Leading or participating in problem solving and improvement projects in support of quality investigations NPI Manage the execution of a portfolio of NPI projects, with defined prioritization and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate team resources appropriately to support the projects.
Planning, controlling, and executing customer NPI projects from initial idea to commercial production, including all activities to coordinate qualification of the required processes to manufacture and inspect parts.
Act as a conduit to understand the customer needs and to translate this into a technical specification that can be used by the plant.
This will include supporting the commercial team in customer visits and presentations.
Requirements Engineering Degree preferably at master's level Advanced English Material Science knowledge– Specifically Nitinol Significant experience in a range of technical areas and with people management/project leadership ability.
