**What you'll do**
**Your responsibilities**
- Define, prioritize and plan the projects that will need to be implemented, gaining alignment with all appropriate levels within the organization;
- Keeping abreast of new software technologies, as well as conforming to best practices in cybersecurity;
- Mentor and provide guidance to the backend engineering team;
- Evaluating software solutions, performing routine maintenance and monitoring performance metrics;
- Manage backend engineering lifecycle end to end, overseeing the development, deployment, and integration of software solutions;
- Oversee technical delivery and ensure the product vision is realized through engineering excellence to improve customer experience;
- Advocate on behalf of the customer during all tech engagements;
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints;
- Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization;
- Create and define processes and systems to guarantee quality through best practices;
- Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels;
- Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives;
- Collaborating with the front-end developers and product team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience;
- Create and establish a clear alignment of the team's roadmap with the Head of Product and Engineering.
**What you bring**
- 5+ years in an advanced management tech role (preference given to those with program management and/or software development management experience);
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills;
- Working experience using programming languages such as, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Rust, Go, etc;
- Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes;
- Understanding of agile methodologies;
- Deep familiarity with DevOps practices;
- Excellent communication skills to deliver the strategy, technical estimates, viability or other inputs to different departments and work cross functionally;
- Analytical skills applied continuously in strategic planning (business-wise).
