By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will balance team workload and drive exceptional team performance with high impact for the business.**Key Responsibilities**:- Prepares manufacturing engineering department objectives, goals and budget- Evaluates performance versus goals. Support of all new product introductions, prepare and manage projects for new products and new processes- Responsible for major technical programs plant/group wide. May lead cross-functional teams. Responsible for plant layout, manufacturing methods and processes. Champions and Institutionalizes a Lean and Six Sigma Culture using Kaizen, Six Sigma and Lean Management/Manufacturing tools and philosophies, leading by example- Responsible for the Plant Productivity Initiatives and projects. Establishes and maintains systems to ensure manufacturability of new products. Provides technical leadership, cross functionally as well as direct reports. Stays up to date on manufacturing engineering technology and methods to incorporate them into our factories- Maintain effective company-wide working relationships with other engineering and service organizations. Develops staffing plans; recruits and hires. Supervises direct and functional reports; establishes individual performance goals- Reviews performance Vs goals; provides counseling. Develops, approves, and implements programs for timely development and progress of individuals- Carries out employee relations programs and ensures adherence to company and local labor practices such as affirmative action, valuing differences, and overtime. Works with Human Resources in managing discipline and documentation steps in problem employee situations- Responsible to establish adequate Asset management procedures. Oversees and audits adherence. Promotes leveraging and benchmarking of the different improvement initiatives across the business unit. Responsible of the processes to determine Plant Capacity, routings and BOM maintenance**YOU MUST HAVE**:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Industrial, Electromechanical- 5 years of experience in a managerial role- Excellent English/Spanish communication skills both written and verbal**WE VALUE**:- Computer skills with competency in using MSOffice suite and other software programs as necessary- Six Sigma and/or Lean formal training is a plus
