**Job Description**:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing, leading and developing a cross-functional PS-PE team out of SW, HW and Mech in order to ensure the on-time development of reliable products that are cost effective, meet customer specifications and maintain company standards by deploying Functional Excellence in the field of mechatronics, software development.
Main responsibilities are:
**Business and Strategy**
- Assure functional excellence in SW, HW and ME engineering, support all projects with right skills and capacity
- Develop the understanding of product, platform, and process of Energy Management systems of EV/HEV products
- Collaboration with other International Development Network Centers, Regional sales teams and Local / Lead plants
- Develop location strategy (Global Development Network) together with other engineering locations
- Develop strategy to increase value contribution from Bosch Global Software Technologies Mexico (High Value projects)
- Business planning, Budget management and Billing
- Contribution to productivity targets
**Quality and Delivery Excellence**
- Develop and Implement Quality Improvement Measures
- Defect management - Identify root cause (8D, CAR) and Improvement measures
- Planning and Tracking of project effort, cost, and delivery
- Implement and Participate in Internal project reviews
- Planning, Procurement and Maintenance of project specific infrastructure (HW, ME, Software, Infra)
**Associate Development**
- Recruitment and Retention strategy
- Goal setting and Performance evaluation
- Career development and Aspiration management of associates
- Mentor and Coach the team
- Setup and develop competence roadmap for the project team and Manage competence of associates
- Provide technical guidance to the project team towards achieving delivery and quality goals
- Promote Innovation mindset
**Partner / Customer Engagement**
- Define and Implement Partner and Customer Experience strategy
- Deployment of strategic targets of Driving Experience (ADAS)
- Support Regional account management on operational topics
- Provide first level escalation support for the partners and customers towards resolution of problems
- Project status reporting to stakeholders (KPI and Metric reporting)
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree on Electronics, Mechatronics or Computer Science with 12+ years of experience of work experience
- Experience in Automotive domain (may be Power Train) is preferred
- Experience in Automotive SW development, AUTOSAR, base software, V&V is a plus
- Experience in project and people management of large teams, 15+ engineers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to dive deep into technical topics
- Good knowledge of SW product / project life cycle process and hands on experience SDLC tools
- Knowledge & experience on Configuration Management, Requirement Management & Defect Tracking tools (DOORS, ALM, RQM, GIT etc.)
- Experience in managing projects with distributed teams across locations, including international teams
- Ability to negotiate with customer, support global organization, and understanding with working in global multicultural projects.
- English language.
- Open to travel (10% per year).
