We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead our Incident Response Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and security of our systems. As the Engineering Manager for the Incident Response Team, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers dedicated to identifying, responding to, and mitigating incidents that impact our services.You will lead a team that is inclusive, helpful, and has a strong sense of ownership for the things they help protect. The team looks to their manager for organizational transparency, process improvements, career development, mentorship, and honest feedback.Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and grow a team of incident response engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence. Help develop their careers and assign them to projects tailored to their skill levels, personalities, work styles, and professional goalsOversee the identification, investigation, and resolution of incidents. Ensure timely and effective response to incidents to minimize impact on services.Develop and implement processes and tools to improve incident detection, response, and resolution. Continuously evaluate and enhance incident response procedures.Work closely with other engineering teams, security teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination during incidents.Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in incident response and related areas.Maintain and report on key metrics related to incident response performance. Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of incidents and response efforts.Manage the on-call rotation for the incident response team. Ensure that the team is adequately staffed and prepared to respond to incidents at all times
