**Engineering Manager - System Platform**
**JOB SUMMARY
The System Verification Engineering Manager is responsible to lead a Systems team (Architecture, Requirements, Integration, Diagnostics, and System Test) with regards to constructing a Systems level approach for robust design and verification based on the creation of internal requirements and advanced diagnsotics.
**JOB FUNCTIONS (ESSENTIAL)**
- Leads development of advanced diagnostic feature definition and requirements to support functional and status monitoring and mitigation and error recovery capability.
Includes related failsafe activities and degradation.
- Leads development of robustness and health check requirements supporting functionality and compliance of products and systems to both OEM specifications and government regulations.
- Leads development of stress test methods and equipment to confirm the robustness of individual products and integrated systems incorporating multiple Magna products.
- Supports development of software based health check monitoring of products and integrated systems.
- Ensures engineering targets (quality, delivery timing, key performance indicators (KPIs), system engineering budget, etc.)
for system deliverables are met.
- Provides technical leadership in directing the efforts of the systems team in the development and production release of all relevant system engineering deliverables in compliance with the product development process and customer expectations.
- Ensures proper sign off on quality of event for all systems engineering deliverables.
- Ensures proper systems engineering quote response is provided for new projects and engineering changes.
As necessary, supports customer technical reviews.
- Directly manages the systems team in the implementation of objectives and overall activities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training, reward and disciplinary actions of employees, and performance appraisals.
- Participates in continuous improvement efforts, researches, recommends and initiates implementation of enhancements to products, processes and programs.
- Ensures all necessary systems engineering documentation and data is generated and maintained to ensure traceability and compliance to Company procedures (e.g.
Process - Work Instructions) and applicable standards (e.g.
ISO/TS 16949, ISO/IEC TR 15504).
- Enforces the System Engineering Line strategy for system development in accordance to policies, procedures and operational guidelines related to Magna (GPEP) and established quality management systems (IATF 16949, ASPICE, ISO26262 FuSa, ISO 21434 Cyber Security)
- Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Ensures that facilities are in full compliance with all safety regulations.
- Ensures compliance to and adoption of all applicable legal, regulatory, industry standards, customer standards, lesson learnt, best practices, state of the art methods
- Maintains regular attendance.
- Follows safe work procedures; Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); Uses workplace tools and equipment as instructed; Reports workplace hazards, injuries and illness as soon as possible following event.
- Complies with the requirements of Quality Operating System (QOS)
**JOB REQUIREMENTS
**_Education/Experience_**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering / Systems Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years' relevant experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed above) in serial development.

- 3+ years' relevant management or supervisory experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed above) in serial development.
