The ME designs the layout of the production cells, analyze line balance to have efficient operations, he/she has to prepare all documentation related to the manufacturing process such as Operation instructions, PFMEA and Capability studies.
In addition the ME is responsible of the MSA processes, he/she has to plan and execute measuring devices calibration schedules, gather measuring records and present corresponding information during internal and external audits.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Lead plant activities during new programs launch- Participation on Engineering changes introduction- Operation equipment set up and launch team training- Processes balance to meet customer requirements in an efficient manner- Maintain process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.- Prepare all sourcing activities from RFQ to PO for any major outside tooling and equipment purchases (i.E.
; continuity testers, alignment equipment, balancers, uniformity equipment, etc).- Gather all relevant product information, production rates and assembly requirements from customer contacts.- Be responsible for equipment certification and run-off provide feedback and escalate any issues to leadership.- Develop plans to achieve plant OEE target- Act as a liaison and coordinate with Plant team members to make sure that lessons learned, best practices, and plant goals are driven into the new production process being developed.- Collaborate with Quality Engineer to drive Quality (PFMEA, Reverse PFMEA, Control Plan, Error-proofing plan) back into the design of the assembly processes and equipment and to ensure a robust Manufacturing System is delivered to the Plant that meets quality and engineering standards.
ME is direct responsable of PFMEA and Diagram flow- Maintain process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.- Promote health and safety in all phases of engineering and launch.- Maintain equipment records by filing documents; updating equipment database
