The Engineering & NPI Manager primary focus is to achieve and maintain manufacturing world class processes related to safety standards, process and product quality controls, productivity and efficiencies. Also responsible for
new product introduction and transitions strategic planning and readiness. Drives manufacturing engineering continuous improvement and standardization among business units in all facets of the operation is necessary
for success.
**Main Responsabilities**
Lead New Product Introductions and Transitions, collaborating with Operations teams
Lead standardization and business group and site initiative for process engineering.
Lead Project Management team.
Knowledge of electrical test equipment and process, preferably in cable industry (signal integrity and hipotcontinuity test).
Lead new process and product qualification process, technical review approval, partners with business group engineering and quality departments.
Partner with Product Line Management, Sales and Marketing teams on evaluating pursuits opportunities and strategic product roadmap for the Mexicali Cable Backplane Operation.
Responsible for Project Management and Product Management team resources.
CAPEX management on NPI and growth project and strategies
Accountable for implementing a world class manufacturing processes control mindset and standards supporting the site and business units' success.
Driving a culture of continuous improvement in all facets of the operation is necessary for success.
Partner with electrical test and automation engineering team, for new product introduction, transitions.
Ensures safety elements are deployed into manufacturing processes
including JSA, equipment risk assessment.
Exercise diligent Management of Change on new process and equipment introduction, including layout and plant footprint changes due to manufacturing process needs.
Determining and implementing world class quality control mindset and standards (Control Plan, FMEA, Error proofing).
Experiência y requisitos
+5 years' experience in electronic manufacturing as Engineering Manager, **experience on cable assembly is preferred**
+5 years of experience leading major transitions and NPI programs.
BS Degree Industrial / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering
Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in both Spanish and English
Strong experience in transitions and project management
Strong experience in NPI and qualification
Experience in manufacturing lean transformation in a high volume and high mix
Experience leading capital initiatives until full deployment
Proven ability to lead a team to achieve stretch goals and objectives
Demonstrated leadership capabilities including people development
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects successfully
Financial planning for new and existing projects

**MBA preferred**
5% - 10% -time international travel (travel to Asia, North America)
