This individual will lead the R development that looks to improve existing products in the various portfolios assisting the SGT6-8000H & SGT5/6-4000F Gas Turbine (GT) applications service product lines primarily. This role will also integrate with Engineering to support global project implementation for all frames and engine class within Siemens Energy.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. Support/Lead Product Development for products as defined in the R portfolio (Product Management).
2. Collaborate with engineering team to help support creation of product packages release.
3. Engage and/or lead engineering efforts, including Fleet operational monitoring for GT fleet.
4. Kick-off and lead RCA (Root Cause Investigation) within GT and Repair.
5. Create and/or support engineering documents to support release of recommendations.
6. Support Service Product lines in developing internal pricing for new products. Negotiation, bid support and implementation for new products developed under R portfolio.
7. Expected travel to be approx. 25%.
What You Bring
1.
Engineering graduate/postgraduate degree preferably in Mechanical/ Industrial/ Aerospace with at least 10 years of professional experience, master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership position; experience in the energy industry is preferred.
3. Combined cycle and balance of plant experience is desirable, but not required.
4. Excellent communication skills, good command of written and spoken English.
5. Knowledge of second language considered an asset (Spanish, Portuguese or other).
6. Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills and an entrepreneurial attitude.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a strong interest in learning, with basic program management skills and good team working skills.
8. Ability to move and change easily between work topics and ad-hoc requests from partners.
9. International work experience.

High level of social competence and team spirit as well as ability to structure and analyze, motivation and persistence.
11. Proficiency in technical writing and conducting formal presentations.
12. Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines on time.
13. Be comfortable leading an expert team from multiple time zones and cultures to answer technical questions and to perform risk assessments.
14. Ability to establish relationships and build networks in a distributed team setup and collaborate with other groups across the organization.
