**Job Summary**:
We are now looking for a Environmental Engineer to be responsible to ensure Tetra Pak's environmental global policies and Governmental laws are met throughout the implementation of procedures and techniques. In this role, you will be assessing and minimizing the environmental impact related to the factory's and customer' s production, chemicals and waste, to leverage the knowledge and commitment to Environment.
The position is based in Queretaro factory, Queretaro; reporting to OHS & ENV Manager
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
**What you will do**:
As Environmental Engineer you will:
- Establish procedures and techniques to minimize environmental impacts from production, chemicals and waste bringing knowledge and working at all levels in the organization.
- Implement best practices to drive the reduction of risks related to incidents & accidents, as well as to manage the corrective actions required.
- Elaborate continuous improvement action plans related to improvement areas proposed form the different teams within the Pillars.
- Evaluate the internal Pillar Teams performance and monitoring the results in order to meet the WCM standards.
- Comply with the legislations and legal requirements related to Environmental, Chemicals, Waste and Energy matters with different Local and Federal Government instances and maintaining strong relations with key stakeholders.
- Ensure provide correct information to: SEDESU, SEMARNAT, CONAGUA, SSA, and Queretaro municipality government, this includes management digital platforms, and attend external audits.
- Managing and complying with the ISO 14001 system standards.
- Managing the operation of the Water Treatment Plant.
- Lead improvement teams to attack environmental losses.
- Provide periodic training to comply with legislation and pillar requirements.
**We believe you have**:
- Environmental Engineering or Environmental Technical Degree (2-year program TSU) or related.
- Knowledge of local (Queretaro) regulations is a must
- 3 years of experience managing industrial processes and being responsible for the compliance of legalrequirements, ISO 14001 standards, waste management and water treatment plant operations.
- Strong knowledge in ISO 14001 standards.
- Knowledge of Environmental Legislations, Energy Efficiency standards and Sustainability
- Ability to train employees on Environmental topics
- Fluent speaker in Spanish, English a plus.
