As an EHS Manager you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all EHS activities within the organization. This includes developing and implementing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting audits and inspections, investigating incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture.
**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be**:
**Coordinating and Developing EHS Programs**
- Coordinate and support EHS staff in devising and enacting programs to foster a safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external EHS regulations.
- Maintain good and professional relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Develop standards and procedures for incident and pollution prevention.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and reviews.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Define, coordinate, or supervise EHS training.
- Support during federal/ state audits.
**Data Analysis and Reporting**
- Collect, analyze, and report EHS metrics.
- Prepare reports for management on trends and improvement actions.
- Analyze accident and incident reports.
- Develop, coordinate and/ or conduct EHS internal audits.
**Process Safety and Improvement**
- Provide EHS expertise for new and modified processes.
- Analyze statistics and EHS documentation.
- Improve work habits and develop personnel.
- Follow up on actions to resolve EHS issues.Propose and implement ergonomic improvement proposals.

**For This Role, You Will Need**:
- Proven experience leading a team with a focus on safety regulations.
- Extensive familiarity with EHS compliance standards and successful strategies in different legal jurisdictions.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and leading EHS programs
- Ability to conduct safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and risks.
- Strong communication skills to effectively connect with employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
- Leadership skills to empower and inspire teams to prioritize safety.
- Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address EHS issues.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and management techniques.
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience" in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (90% proficiency).
- Master's degree is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in occupational safety, health, and environmental management or equivalent, in a manufacturing environment in a similar position.
- 10 years of experience with a focus on environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Comprehensive understanding of international, national, state, municipal, and Emerson-specific environmental, health, and safety regulations.Microsoft Excel functions including vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
