Environmental Health & Safety ManagerThis position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to further drive and enhance a culture of safety, including proactively reducing risks and injuries, improving ergonomics, implementing robust corrective actions, training, and more.
This position will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards and work collaboratively with various departments to improve environmental, health and safety performance and drive continuous improvement.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environment, Science or Engineering preferred; or an equivalent level of education and experience.Preferably 7 to 10 years of EHS experience.Conversational English.Minimum of three (3) years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, experience leading multi-site teams preferred.Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, ISO preferably.Demonstrated knowledge of applicable regional environmental and occupational health and safety regulations.
Experience with EHS management systems and software programs.Experience with the union workforce.Experience in managing MX emergency response "brigades" in the United States.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate with others.Travel: 10-25%.VISA and Passport.Facility operations are 24/7 – incidents may require attention outside of regular business hours.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs and initiatives.Collaborate with site leaders to ensure implementation of EHS programs and systems.Execute strategic EHS objectives to ensure operational excellence and compliance with desired outcomes.
Implement and support trainings to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies.
Participate in safety meetings of the production department.Ensure that the company's strategic initiatives are implemented correctly, prepare and distribute documentation, and catalog incident reports. Ensure that all reports, incidents, near misses, hazards, and non-conformities are investigated.
Manage security audit programs and publish audit findings reports.Manage the facility's chemical database program.Conduct workplace occupational hazard assessments to ensure safe work practices.Audit EHS policies for regulatory compliance.Maintain facility emergency action plans.Coordinate facility emergency response drills.Participate in the EHS corporate board meeting to contribute to EHS's vision and long-term planning.Location: Salinas Victoria, Nuevo Léon..
