Objective of the position: The Environmental Manager will report to the applicable Facilities & Assembly Manager at the Daimler Truck Manufacturing facility also is the environmental representative of the entire Santiago Complex.
Scope includes all facilities centers in the site (CiW, PNT, Assembly, Logistics, Off line, CTS, Transporter & upcoming projects).
This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of the environmental department including assets and resources while developing and driving the team to continuous success. Review, validate and document all the legal compliance of Environmental Management System under the ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 14064 and all standards applicable to the Plant. The Environmental Manager will oversee multiple shifts and Technicians while supporting Santiago ESG strategy.
Responsible for implementation of environmental policies, certifications, initiatives and engaging with vendors and contractors.
Perform the coordination of environmental programs, environmental planning, impact assessment, inspection of environmental facilities or systems, the design, conduct and distribution to the whole Santiago site.
An environmental manager reviews and evaluates existing data, facilities and systems, is the employee in charge of the evaluation of environmental issues, problems, and new or revised regulations. Must attend audits and compliance management, environmental management in areas such as water and waste recycling process.
