.The VCM Analyst must act as the single source of cost data for the program(s) under his/her responsibility. He/she must act as a trusted advisor on cost-related issues to the Program Director, Chief Vehicle Engineer, Purchasing Project Manager, Finance and Cost Engineers. The VCM Sr. Analyst must contribute and commit to the vision of transforming Vehicle Cost Management team as main driver of cost performance in projects.**Main responsibilities**:Support team vision as driver of cost performance in project from Pre-Concept to Mass Production. Bring contribution to ACO NML plan of VCM role transformation. Act as a single entry point and front office for ACO contribution in projectTdC (Total delivery Cost) Upstream, Downstream & Mass production tracking to measure the progress of budget achievement and Cost Reduction targets by function.Will work as part of the Product Development Team to ensure that the vehicle purchased parts, vendor tooling, Logistics and Manufacturing budgets and forecasts are updated periodically (depending on size and strategic importance) to reflect the current design intent, risks and opportunities, commercial issues and other items brought forward by the team.Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of program financial conditions to all members of the Product Development Team (Engineering, Purchasing, Program Directors (PMO), Chief Vehicle Engineers, etc.), Finance and other stakeholdersWill engage in business case development as necessary and support other functional groups in order to optimize cost height and profitability.Promote early identification of risks and opportunities to the development programs, including utilization of ACO expertise in challenge of costsCost Reduction opportunity generation, along with challenging and supporting the implementation of this CR OPP, through the following activities (but not limited to):Internal/external vehicle & commodity benchmarkingFeature cost analysis to support Right sizing activitiesWill develop Business Plan for "Minor and Full Model Change", working very closely with Finance, Purchasing, R&D and PMO.Ensure Product Development and Cost Engineering Teams coordination and involvement toward project profitability objectives. Acts as a functional advisor to ACO senior management and cross-functional program management, as well as coordination and information sharing with program teams in Japan. Provide leadership, guidance, training, and assistance with less-senior analyst development. Coordinate and work directly with counterpart in USA and other Regions to support standardization of best practices and address regional needsDrive consistency and continuous improvement within the country, North America region and globally by documenting procedures, leading cross-functional, or intra departmental projects.**Education**:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, corporate Finance, Economics or a related field
