**General Job Description**:
To collect and analyze data in order to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacture a product.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Reviewing customer part prints and Requests For Quotations from customers
- Reviewing and determine the production process necessary to produce metal parts
- Creating costs estimates for part production
- Evaluating equipment availability
- Making and updating process documentation
- Recommending process and quality improvement opportunities
- Conduct regular risk assessments.
- Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan.
- Present complex and detailed reports to management.
- Performs cost analysis of product proposals.
- Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers.
- Participates in Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis, responsible for tracking relevant metrics and drive action items based on results.
- Routing job once the client accepts
**Education, Training, and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field.
- Advanced Excel
- Proficient in relevant software including MS Office Suite.
- Three or more years of cost estimation experience
- Three or more years of metal part processing experience
- Three or more years of metal manufacturing environment experience
- Possess an understanding of metals and the metal part manufacturing process
- Possess an understanding of engineering drawings
- Possess an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
