Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Scope/Purpose of PositionThe EUC Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Engineer is a highly skilled technical specialist dedicated to enhancing the digital experiences of employees, with a primary focus on Nexthink.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that all digital interactions are seamless, efficient, and contribute positively to the overall employee experience.
The DEX Engineer is responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of Nexthink, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
In this role, the DEX Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT and business units, to design and implement innovative solutions that improve user satisfaction, productivity, and engagement.
The engineer will leverage their technical expertise to develop and deploy custom dashboards, automate processes, and integrate Nexthink with various systems to create a cohesive digital environment.
By continuously analyzing data and employee feedback, the DEX Engineer will proactively identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical: Standardize and manage Nexthink data to drive innovation and improvement initiatives.
Create customized Nexthink content, including dashboards, investigations, and remote automation, leveraging your technical skills.
Analyze data to educate the team and IT department and collaborate on integrations and API automation.
Implement Nexthink connectors and APIs for seamless integration with third-party software.
Proactive: Monitor metrics and employee sentiment continuously to identify potential issues proactively.
Develop proactive improvement plans and automation roadmaps.
Work with IT service teams to implement strategies that enhance the digital experience.
Sentiment: Gather and analyze employee feedback to identify pain points and preferences.
Integrate employee sentiment with technical data to create a balanced DEX strategy.
Partner with Service Leads to design and execute targeted engagement campaigns, collecting valuable insights.
Education & Skills Requirement Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
Relevant technical qualifications/certifications a plus.
Minimum of 5 years in EUC and/or DEX engineering roles.
Experience working in large corporations and complex technical environments.
Proficient in configuring, implementing, supporting, and maintaining various DEX technologies, with a focus on: Nexthink User experience monitoring and analytics Automation of IT services and workflows Proactive issue detection and resolution Integration of the Nexthink solution with existing IT infrastructure PowerShell scripting for automation Experience in survey design.
Experience in supporting strategic initiatives.
