ResponsibilitiesWhat you will contribute:The role is responsible for building and managing business-critical Oracle & PostgreSQL Databases in Azure PaaS. It includes maintaining, enhancing, tuning, monitoring, and alerting existing and new databases, and supporting production operations. Strong skills and working experience with Oracle 19c (RAC/Standby/Data Guard) & PostgreSQL in Azure. Prepare Oracle/PostgreSQL roadmap for the future and act as a product owner, managing stakeholders across the organization.Oracle:Overall IT experience of 10-15 years, with 8+ years of experience in managing Oracle databases on Linux platforms.5+ years of experience managing and tuning large and complex OLTP and warehouse databases using Oracle 19c.Experience in tuning, monitoring, and securing Oracle databases. Experience with Oracle Data Guard, ASM, RAC, AWR, and OEM.Experience in setting up HA/DR/Replication in Azure-PaaS/IaaS models.Demonstrated experience writing complex stored procedures and queries.Design database schema to meet new enhancement requirements.Develop ETL strategies for integrating or migrating data from multiple sources.Proven experience with integration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.Develop automation technologies to speed up loading data into the end target.PostgreSQL:Strong hands-on 3–5-year experience in database administration of PostgreSQL databases on Azure PaaS, developing, documenting, and advocating best practices in Azure PaaS.Managing and supporting PostgreSQL Azure PaaS/IaaS configuration.Strong in-depth knowledge of Postgres internals.General DBA skills:Design and develop relational databases.Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex database issues.Skilled with performance tuning, recovery, etc.Good understanding of the differences between OLTP and OLAP systems and the different physical modeling and design considerations needed for each.Experience in operational and incident management/resolution.Enhanced documentation skills – Prepare SoP/best practices to be shared with the team.Develop appropriate corrective actions to resolve production data issues, not limited to performance tuning, recovery, etc.Build best practices/standards and provide guidance to the development team regarding database design and usage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
