**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
Lead fabrication team "open work environment that stick to our values, showing our winning attitude and having fun while we recognizes, rewards, promotes and coach our people to develop their competencies and skills at all levels of the organization", in order to successfully fabricate quality products (Strong, Standard, esthetic) delivered on time within a well being culture across BRP JRZ 1.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Human Resources Leadership
- Assist in recruitment and placement of required direct labor; ensure people are adequately trained or qualified to maintain a high level of Skills in Fabrication processes (Welding, Prefabrication).
- Hire, Guide, Coach, Motivate, Monitor and Evaluate Performance in the team in partnership with Human Resources.
- Build and strength relationships across the different BRP sites.
- Establishment of Organizational Structure.
- Day to day improvement of work environment.
- EH&S Management
- Advise the Board and senior management team on the implications of current and emerging health, safety, environment and welfare legislation, including evaluating options, making recommendations and generating actions plans to ensure compliance across the organization.
- Monitor, evaluate and review Health and Safety Policy are followed and respected, make recommendations and implement new policies and procedures asrequired.
- Responsible to promote, guide, monitor the best health and safety practices in partnership with the staff and senior management.
- Fabrication Management
- Responsible to continuously seek for new products (Growth) introduction at Fabrication, as well as new platforms and model year introductions.
- Create, sustain, implement and communicate Strategies, Tactics and Operational plans in accordance with the Company vision and mission and aligned with the strategic team and R&D.
- Improve procedures and processes in support of the organizational goals.
- Responsible for day to day housekeeping, operations and administrative topics.
- Ensure all necessary plant, welding equipment, automated & test equipments are maintained in a current operable and calibrated condition.
- Show leadership and commitment to the QMS and customer focus, promote continuous improvement.
- Establish, implement, maintain and improve the QMS, provide all necessary resources to maintain and support the QMS.
- RAM Management
- Responsible to ensure all robotics, automated equipment and test equipments are in optimum conditions to build in quality for our products and meeting the takt times.
- Develop, improve, search and create new software's for our manufacturing operations.
- Align initiatives with Valcourt and other sites to keep proven cutting edge machines and processes.
- Seize opportunities of innovation for fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes.
- Financial Management
- Direct and indirect labor budget accuracy and attainment.
- Manage the Operational and Capital Budget.
- Improve minutes per vehicle.
- Costing new parts to fabricate in house.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:
- Leadership Competencies.
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial or Mechatronic).
- Bilingual.
- Fabrication Manufacturing Skills.
- Robotics, PLC's, Programation Skills.
- Welding knowledge.
(TIG-MIG for Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Steel).
- NPD processes.
- Make or buy analysis.
- Budget and forecast.
- Health and Safety Culture Knowledge.
- Experience 5 years or more.
