**Position Overview**
The Fabrication Planner is responsible for managing the daily process of releasing customer orders to the Production Assistants. Additional responsibilities include managing the daily reporting process as well as root cause analysis on orders that fall outside of the planning parameters. The Fabrication Planner needs to be highly organized and be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment. The ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of function areas is critical. One of the key outputs of this role is a high on time delivery to original ship date for customer orders.
**What you'll do**
- Responsible for daily release of customer orders to the Production assistants
- Responsible for running daily reporting to facilitate release process
- Responsible for identifying customer orders that fall outside of scheduling parameters
- Identifies root cause issues for orders that are outside of the scheduling parameters
- Communicates with planning team on material shortages and needs
- Manages communication process with customer service
- Responsible for on time delivery metrics
- Proficient in SAP, MII & Excel
- Develops standard work documents for release, reporting and root cause analysis process
- Can achieve results through influencing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
**Who you are**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations
- Minimum 2+ years of hands on experience in planning and supply chain functions
- Demonstrated experience tools such as SAP or other ERP systems
- Expert in SAP
- Exceptional computer skills; ERP, Business Intelligence systems or equivalent and Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good understanding of inventory movements and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate across multiple departments and through multiple levels of the organization
- Solid analytical skills in root cause analysis
- Demonstrated influencing, negotiating and conflict management skills
- Excellent collaborative management skills
